Study On The Measurement And Influencing Factors Of Regional Ecological Efficiency In China

Since the reform and opening up more than 40 years ago,China's economic construction has made significant achievements,and the quality and efficiency of economic development have been continuously improved,becoming the world's second largest economy.However,China 's long-term high investment,high consumption,and high emissions have led to severe resource and environmental problems,which have greatly reduced the quality of economic growth.Therefore,in order to promote the green development of various regions,it is necessary to measure ecological efficiency and study its influencing factors.The research in this paper is carried out from the following aspects.First,sort out the literature on ecological efficiency at home and abroad,define the connotation of ecological efficiency and analyze the mechanism of influencing factors;second,build an indicator system for ecological efficiency measurement,and use data envelopment analysis(DEA)to analyze China 's interprovincial and three major economic regions Measure the eco-efficiency from 2004 to 2018.Once again,use the eco-efficiency measurement as the explanatory variable,select the appropriate panel data regression model and Tobit regression model,and study the influencing factors of eco-efficiency.Finally,from the economic development level and opening Five aspects,such as degree,industrial structure,technological level and environmental governance investment,put forward corresponding policy suggestions for improving the regional ecological efficiency of China.The results of the study show that: from an inter-provincial perspective,Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai,Fujian and Guangdong rank the top 5 respectively,while Qinghai,Gansu,Guizhou,Xinjiang and Ningxia rank the last.The average value of efficiency is the best,and the average value of ecological efficiency in the western region is the lowest.From the perspective of influencing factors,the level of economic development has a positive role in promoting the improvement of ecological efficiency in various regions,and the degree of opening to the outside world has a promoting effect on the ecological efficiency in the eastern region,but it has a negative impact on the central and western regions.The industrial structure and Environmental governance has an inhibitory effect on the ecological efficiency ofvarious regions,and the level of science and technology has an inhibitory effect on the ecological efficiency in the eastern and central regions,but has a promoting effect on the ecological efficiency in the western region.
