Study On Bird Community And Its Main Influencing Factors In Guangzhou Urban Park

In the context of urbanization,the park is a unique habitat patch for urban birds,providing food and shelter for urban birds and has a high biodiversity conservation value.In this study,from April 2018 to April 2019,the survey of birds in 19 parks in Guangzhou was carried out.Birds and their habitats were mainly studied.The species,quantity and distribution of birds,as well as the environmental characteristics of their habitats,human flow,distance from the city center,green coverage and habitat richness were investigated,analyzed the relationship between avian community composition and habitat in Guangzhou,and explored the impact of birds in the park.The factors affecting the community and species diversity,from the perspective of urban planning and green space conservation,put forward measures and suggestions for attracting birds and protecting birds.Provide basic data for planning and construction of Guangzhou city parks.The survey results are as follows:The composition of bird communities in Guangzhou urban parks.A total of 123 species of birds were recorded in this survey,belonging to 15 orders 43 families and 89 genera.Birds in Guangzhou City Park are mainly resident,accounting for 60.98% of the total;followed by winter visitor,accounting for 28.46% of the total,and summer visitor,passage migrant and vagrant visitor account for 7.32%,1.63% and 1.63%.Among the birds surveyed,there were 81 species of passeriformes,accounting for 65.85% of the total,and42 species of non-passeriformes,accounting for 34.15% of the total.According to the survey,9 species of Grade II protected birds(7.32% of the total)were recorded,and 8species of key protected animals in Guangdong Province(accounting for 6.50% of the total).There are three species listed in CITES Appendix II,namely the Psittacula eupatria,the Glaucidium cuculoides and the Pitta nympha.The IUCN vulnerable species are Pitta nympha.Newly discovered 26 species of birds,belonging to 8 orders and 18 families.The newly added birds are mainly winter visitor(accounting for 46.15% of the total),followed by resident(accounting for 38.46% of the total),indicating that Guangzhou's urban parks are increasingly suitable for winter visitor.In terms of food habits,the newly added birds are mainly insect-eating,which is generally consistent with the resident of Guangzhou.Analysis of habitat characteristics of parks(park area,population,distance from city center,green coverage and habitat richness)in 19 parks in Guangzhou,it was found that there was a significant correlation between park area,human flow,green coverage and habitat richness with bird community(P<0.05).There was a marked significant positive correlation between the number of species with the park area and green coverage(P<0.01).The number of individuals in the bird community was significant positively correlated with the park area(P<0.05);There was a marked significant positive correlation between Shannon-Wiener diversity index with green coverage(P<0.01),and a marked significant negative correlation with human flow(P<0.01),and a significant positive correlation with park area(P<0.05);there was a marked significant negative correlation between uniformity index with habitat richness(P<0.01);the dominance index was marked significantly negatively correlated with green coverage(P<0.01),and was significant positively correlated with human flow(P<0.05).
