| The use of wireless technologies including wireless networking, communications, and sensor and control networks of many types have increased greatly over the last decade.;This thesis explores the functionality of ZigBee wireless sensor networks, with the purpose of exposing characteristics that would be useful during the basic design and troubleshooting phases of network implementation.;The testing conducted for this thesis was implemented with the use of the OPNET network simulation software package, and consisted of tests varying network characteristics including end device to router ratio, number of router hops, and device physical distribution. |
