E-mail is one of the most important communications in the current society, and is a part of the social network. An e-mail mainly consists of the unique identification, sending time, sending address, receiving address, them e,message body and etc.According to analysis of e-mail network, and find its network for mation mechanism, and constructing e-mail network evolution model, have certain significance to the study of the social network structure. The paper is divided into two stages. The first stage is to analyze e-m ail network by constructing e-mail network communication model. It mainly includes the analy sis of e-mail network structure and user information.Structur al analysis is extracting of the relationship between the e-mail sending and receiving, with the sending tim e,re-structuring the e-mail network structure, and analyze of its structural characteristics. The user inform ation analysis is text feature extraction of message bodies.Classified m ails by clustering or other m eans and to find the relationship between user inform ation characteristics and e-m ail network structure.Based on the analysis in the first stage, the second stage proposes an e-m ail network evolution model based on user infor mation characteristics, and sho ws the specific evolution steps and carried on simulation experiment, and finally, analyzed the exact features of the model.Through the analysis of the first stage,we found that this method can find the relationship between the information characteristics and e-mail network structure in electronic research network. The evolution mode of stage two reflects that the strength distribution obeys power-law form, and closer to real mail network compared with other models.
