Gestion de la mobilite en temps reel des usagers d'un reseau IP mobile (French text)

The Network Working Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force developed a mobile version of the IP protocol able to manage the mobility of users in IP networks. The Mobile IP protocol is implemented in several local area networks and works well. But the network architecture has some weakness and also real time features are not supported in the protocol.; Our main goal in this project is to propose more robust network architectures and to design and implement more suitable real time mobility management algorithms. To achieve these objectives, we coded the existing algorithms and the ones we proposed. We made several simulations with different parameters such as the arrival rate of users in the network and the size of data transmitted to mobile users. We measured the update average time as well as the time of the location of users and data transmission to them. We analyzed the impact of the number and the rate of processors on the local router in the implemented architecture for users and messages assignment. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)...
