The purpose of this project was to enhance an existing child abuse prevention program, seek potential funding sources to implement the program, and write a grant to fund the program enhancement for the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center. The program was designed using best practices found in the literature. The program enhancement is a group with parenting education, social support and parent child interaction components. Social work implications are discussed.
