Abstract/Summary:
The motivation for this thesis was my earlier study "To develop computer based training module in Telemedicine". The target audience for this computer based training module was graduate students of the Nursing Department at SUNYIT. One of the crucial parts of that study was to identify their current knowledge level regarding telemedicine. Multiple techniques were used such as covert study, focus groups, as these are scientific ways to check the effectiveness, and quality of training module. Based on the obtained results, the outline and content of the module can be decided.;Results from this study concluded that there is a lack of awareness regarding this technology, among the health care students. These results were unexpected as it was assumed that these graduate students at least know the fundamentals of this technology. In addition a working knowledge of this technology is necessary for future health practitioners.
