Abstract/Summary:
In the recent years both equipment sector and services sector of telecommunications have been battered very badly. This module was developed for a student who has some knowledge about equipment/services sector or taken at least one course in telecommunication and has little or no knowledge about how to improve the processes of Telecommunications. Need for adopting six sigma, and some other steps that led to finalize this topic, telecommunication processes that can be improved by six sigma etc are explained in later sections. Computer based training module on 'Adopting Six Sigma in Telecommunications' is designed using MS.Net 2.0. SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) approach which includes Design, Development, testing and Deployment phases, are followed for developing this CBT Module. Efficiency of the module and student's knowledge after going through the CBT Module are analyzed by pre and post test methodology. Hypothesis testing was used for statistical analysis of the results. Students who took this CBT Module were asked to participate in a survey to give their feedback on various aspects like design of the CBT Module, which areas they liked most, which areas of the CBT Module needs to be improved etc. Some of the student's opinions are reflected in future work section for enhancing this CBT module to next level.; Keywords. Human Subjects Review Evaluation, pre-test, post-test, survey questions, test results, etc are listed in the appendix.
