Abstract/Summary:
Biologists and bioinformaticians are accustomed to going through analysis steps in which they employ multiple data sources such as protein sequence and protein interaction databases. However, biological sources have a distributed, dynamic, and heterogeneous nature and finding the right source of data is not an easy task. Therefore, the need for integrated biological data sources has received a fair amount of attention from both computer and biology communities in the recent years.;In addition to that, access to biological data and service sources has become an issue in the recent years due to the use of inconsistent terminologies. That is, biological vocabulary is diverse in nature, and people do not use the same terminology to describe their data and services. Therefore, finding the right service and interpreting data received from multiple data sources is an issue.;In this research, we build a data warehouse containing integrated fungal genomics data for multiple fungi species from multiple sources, a data schema for the integrated data, transformers for changing the data from external sources to the integrated data schema, and an agent based ETL system for the data warehouse.
