Abstract/Summary:
In the last few years, various applications on the Web allow users to access geographic information. These applications support the users in their trip planning and the cognition of transport system by the visualization of maps or further information to support a descriptive request. However, the user who enters the Central Business District (CBD) of Montreal by an underground transport infrastructure is left with himself, since the pedestrian network of the underground city remains a missing link in the current path calculators.; Thus, this project focuses on the analytical and three-dimensional modeling of the protected pedestrian network, by presenting the geocoding methodology. To carry out this schematization, an "in situ" census allowed the enumeration and the positioning of the various urban infrastructures (pedestrian corridors, stairs, escalators, elevators, internal doors and outer doors) which characterize this underground network.
