This thesis is a sub-project, which belongs to “Study of environmentneighbourhood characteristics on active walking behavior”(No.51278503) leaded byProfessor Tan Shaohua.Strengthening planning science has become a consensus at theplanning and construction, national policies and discipline construction levels. Thequantitative analysis of pedestrian networkcan not only contribute to improve thescientificity of planning method, more helpto improve the pedestrian environment. The study carried out a detailed summary on walking network and qualitative andquantitativeresearchon accessibility at home and abroad. Then it focuses on the primarypedestrian network and puts forward comprehensive evaluation system from the pointof the spatial separation, through analyzing the influence factors of affecting itsaccessibility.Specific methodsare as follows:Firstly, evaluated the pedestrian networkaccessibility of primary school with no spatial separation or idealconditions;secondly, with deep understanding of Physics, narrow and broad layers aspectof accessibility, createdbroad perspective of accessibility and proposethree factorsevaluation system including societyspatial separation barrier, city spatialseparationbarrier and the natural patial separation barrier. Thirdly,by the means ofGIS andphysical form quantitative analysis, the comprehensive factor evaluation ofaccessibilitywhich acquiredby multifactorial overlay analysis tools are carried out inprimary school pedestrian network inNanping area based of single factoraccessibilityAssessment;Fourthly, summarize the spatial characteristics and thegenerationmechanism which impactingaccessibility of primary pedestrian network by analyzingthe results of empirical research,. Lastly, put forward the improvement suggestions toimprove the pedestrian network of primary school pupils and the limitation of the studybase on the results.
