The Impact Of Climate Change On The Performance Of Tourism A-Share Listed Companies

With the acceleration of economic development,global temperatures are warming and extreme weather is increasing,the impact of climate change on human activities is becoming more and more obvious.The tourism industry has become one of the fastest growing industries in recent years,and therefore has an important strategic position in China's future development.The tourism industry has been placed at the height of the national development strategy for the first time.This article takes the Chinese A-share listed tourism companies as the overall research object,the research period is set to the listed company's listing year to 2017,and uses the annual average temperature,average relative humidity,precipitation and sunshine hours as representative indicators of climate change.And select the ROE to represent the company's performance,use the unbalanced panel fixed effect model to study the impact of climate change on the performance of China's tourism listed companies,and select Huangshan Tourism as a case company,from company profile to company performance affected by climate The impact of change,a detailed analysis of the relationship between the two.The study found that the annual average temperature is related to the performance of A-share listed companies in the tourism industry,and the number of hours of sunshine is also significantly related to corporate performance.The average relative humidity and annual precipitation have no significant impact on corporate performance and have a regression A robustness test was carried out.In the robustness test,through grouping tests,it was found that as the year increases,the impact of climate change on corporate performance becomes more obvious,and even another meteorological factor—average relative humidity is related to corporate performance.It shows that climate change has an impact on the performance of listed companies in the tourism industry,and the impact increases with the year.
