In the context of economic globalization and regional economic integration, the relations between cities have become closer and more complex, making cities increasingly prominent in regional development. And the regional economic system generated by urban agglomerations will inevitably become the main part in future economic development. As one of the most dynamic, economically developed, and most open regions in China, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration plays an important role in China's regional economic development pattern. And it is currently committed to building a “global, radiating AsiaPacific, leading the country” world-class city group. However, compared with the urban agglomerations of other countries like the United States,Britain,Japan and so on,the economic development of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations is still relatively backward, and there is still much room for improvement and great potential for development.Against this background, the Yangtze River Delta regional integration plan was issued. In the year of 2016,the “Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration development Plan” clarified that the planning scope of the Yangtze River Delta regional integration included 26 cities in Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui. In the year of 2018,the development of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta became a national strategy, and then the “Three-year Action Plan(2018-2020)” was released.According to the theory of regional integration, economic integration is the economic foundation and central link of regional integration, and tourism plays a leading role in all forms of economic activity. The development of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta has provided a new opportunity for the further promotion of tourism integration in the region. With the acceleration of the regional integration process, the tourism economic relations between cities in the Yangtze River Delta have also been continuously strengthened.Cities have gradually jumped out of their individual framework,to the direction of regional tourism cooperation. However, the imbalance of regional tourism economic development still exists, affecting and restricting the overall linkage development of the Yangtze River Delta region.Optimizing the spatial structure of the tourism economic relations between cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and constructing a reasonable spatial cooperation pattern of tourism economy has become an important breakthrough in realizing the regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta.Through combing researches on the spatial links of tourism economy,it is found that scholars usually used modified gravity models and social network analysis methods to studyregional tourism economic links and their spatial network structures, but few studies examined the spatial organization patterns of tourist destinations, especially analyzing the spatial cooperation pattern of regional tourism economy from the perspective of tourism economic connection network. Therefore, the research is divided into five parts: Firstly, elaborating the research background, proposing the theoretical and practical significance of the research, reviewing relevant research progress, proposing research goals, content, methods and possible innovation points.Secondly, the tourism economic development index and the traffic accessibility index are introduced to modify the gravity model, and the strength of tourism economic relations between cities in the Yangtze River Delta is calculated.Third, the spatial connection model is established after binarization processing by the Ucinet6.216 software, and then the network structure characteristics are described from the aspects of network density, centrality, structural holes, cohesive subgroups and core edge structures.Fourth, according to the characteristics of tourism economic spatial links, the spatial cooperation pattern of tourism economy of cities in the Yangtze River Delta is analyzed.Fifth, based on the above analysis, the research conclusions of this article are drawn, and related suggestions and future prospects are put forward. The article mainly has the following research results:(1)According to the analysis of the tourism economic development index and the strength of tourism economic links, there is a large difference in the level of tourism economic development among cities in the Yangtze River Delta.Cities like Shanghai,Hangzhou,Suzhou and Nanjing have an obvious advantage of location, forming a development trend of “one core and three poles”.(2)According to the analysis of the spatial links of tourism economy, the overall density of tourism economic spatial links in the Yangtze River Delta is relatively high but not balanced. And the “core-periphery” phenomenon is significant, showing an overall spatial pattern of “strong in the southeast and weak in the northeast”.Hefei,Nanjing,Shanghai,Hangzhou and Ningbo form a “Z” shaped tourism corridor with strong tourist attraction.(3)According to the analysis of the spatial cooperation pattern of tourism economy, one of the spatial patterns of tourism economic cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta is to build tourism economic circles based on the central city, the other is to create corridors based on the spatial links of tourism economy. With the help of the four corridors, the four large tourism economic circles could realize “series” and form an integrated development model of “one core, three poles, four circles and four axes”.Synthesizing the above research results, measures to accelerate the integrated development of regional tourism are proposed, such as cultivating core growth poles to promote the evolution of surrounding areas, relying on tourism economic corridors to drive the development of areas along the routes, constructing tourism circles to realize networked development with muti-center,etc.
