| Cooperative development of cities and regions is a key issue in human geography.The relationship and connection between cities and cities are the focus of regional cooperative development.Under the background of new-type urbanization and new normal,cooperative development and spatial integration have become necessary means that urban agglomeration or economic belt enhances comprehensive strength to cope with domestic and foreign competition.Yangtze River Delta has many dense cities and strong external radiation.Thus,it’s one of the most economically advanced,the best urbanization regions in China.This paper takes Yangtze River Delta as an example.Generalizing the developmental conditions and spatial evolution of Yangtze River Delta,it experienced the process of"rapidly expanding-suddenly shrinking-steadily enlarging",gradually expanded from the Shanghai Economic Zone in the early 1980s to 26 cities including Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui in the 2016 development plan.The links between cities are complex and diverse.Based on those related theories about cooperative development,this paper analyzes the cooperative development capability of 26 cities in Yangtze River Delta from economy,infrastructure and eco-environment.In terms of economic cooperation capability,through the calculation of location quotient and industrial structure similarity coefficient,it shows that cities with a high level of economic development,secondary and tertiary industry are advantageous,and cities with a relatively low level have obvious advantages in primary industry.As for the moving track of economic barycenter from 2001 to 2016,the overall movement trend is to northwest.The economic linkage strength between cities is closely related to distance,population and economy.The degree of economic development directly affects the ability of cities’cooperative development.In terms of infrastructure cooperation capability,it uses the TOPSIS evaluation method to investigate transportation facilities,communication facilities,public service facilities,then obtains the comprehensive scores of those cities in 2001、2006、2011、2016.In general,the quality of infrastructure shows a growing trend.In terms of eco-environment cooperation capability,cities such as Nanjing,Shanghai rely on their greater investment and governance,accordingly the cooperative development capability index rank at the forefront.However,cities such as Xuancheng,Maanshan,Jiaxing have relatively large energy consumption and pollutant emissions due to major secondary industry.Combining with low levels of economic development and insufficient management in ecological environment,they have a low cooperative development capability index.Finally,by summarizing the major problems in the process of urban cooperative development in Yangtze River Delta,it points out the idea of driving cooperative development with spatial integration.The overall goal is to promote the process of regional or city group’s integration,achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefit,and make Yangtze River Delta participate in the international competition with stronger comprehensive strength.The measures of spatial integration are proposed in terms of geographic location,institutional system,industrial structure,infrastructure,ecological environment,etc. |
