Research On The Evaluation Of High Quality Development Of Urban Economy In The Yangtze River Delta

In the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it is pointed out that China's economy has changed from a high-speed growth stage to a high-quality development stage,and in November 2018,President Xi Jinping proposed in his speech that it will support the development of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta and rise to a national strategy to improve the spatial layout of China's reform and opening up.It can be seen that the high quality development of economic integration in the Yangtze River Delta region is highly valued by the Party and the state,which is of great significance to improve the overall high quality development of China's economy.The purpose of this paper is to study the high-quality economic development index system and the development direction of the Yangtze River Delta region,and to respond positively to the national strategy of high-quality development and integration of the Yangtze River Delta put forward by the Nineteenth National Congress.This study firstly introduces the origin and development of the term "high quality" from the research background and significance of high quality development,and summarizes the urban economic development in the Yangtze River Delta region,emphasizing the importance and necessity of high quality urban development in the Yangtze River Delta region;Then,taking the five development concepts as the theoretical reference,the evaluation index system of economic high quality development including five first-level indicators and 16 second-level indicators is constructed,and the total urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta region in 2014-2018 is determined as the research object,and the index weight is determined by using the principal component clustering model and the economic high quality development situation of 26 cities is classified.It is found that the indicator weights of innovation and sharing in the five development concepts is relatively large,the clustering situation has obvious regional characteristics,and the high quality development in Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shanghai is obviously better than that in Anhui,including focusing on the core indicators of high-quality economic development and strengthening the integration construction of the Yangtze River Delta region.Finally,some shortcomings caused by time constraints and unavoidable objective problems are explained and some prospects for future research are given.
