With the rapid development of China's economy and the rise in national consumption,known as the "forever rising industry," tourism has become one of the main lines of consumption upgrade.Today's tourism market is growing rapidly,and tourism has become the most worthwhile investment industry.With the development of tourism,tourism competition between regions has become increasingly fierce.How to scientifically grasp the regional competition and cooperation relationship is of great significance to the development of regional tourism.Tourism can be regarded as a living body.Using the niche theory in biology to study the relationship between regional tourism competition and competition has great practical significance and research value for understanding the development of regional tourism and formulating tourism competition and cooperation strategies.This paper studies the relationship of tourism competition and cooperation among 14 cities and prefectures in Xinjiang from the perspective of niche.First,comb related concepts such as the theory of tourism niche and the theory of competition and cooperation based on the existing research results;Secondly,using Xinjiang as a research place,use the niche theory to construct a tourism niche evaluation index system for Xinjiang,which includes 26 index factors including four dimensions: tourism resource dimension,tourism market dimension,social environment dimension,and ecological environment dimension;Then,the niche situation model and niche overlap model were used to quantitatively calculate the tourism niche situation and niche overlap in Xinjiang from 2013 to 2017,and the spatial analysis in ArcGis and the cluster analysis in SPSS were used to analyze Visual analysis of the changes in tourism niche in cities and prefectures in the past five years is conducted to analyze the tourism competitiveness and competition relationship of the 14 cities and prefectures in Xinjiang from the perspective of the niche.Finally,according to the tourism niche status of each prefecture,city and state,a targeted tourism competition strategy is proposed.The results of this study are as follows:(1)By constructing the Xinjiang tourism niche evaluation system and combining the development of Xinjiang tourism,the ecological niche situation theory was used to calculate the niche values of 14 prefectures,cities,and prefectures in Xinjiang.By analyzing the data,it can be concluded that the overall tourism niche in Xinjiang is significantly different and shows an overall volatile growth.Among them,the tourism niche situation in Urumqi,Yili,and Kashi in top three.Hotan,Tacheng,Hami,and Kezhou ranked the tourism niche behind Xinjiang.(2)Through the niche overlap model,the tourism niche overlap of the 14 cities and prefectures in Xinjiang is calculated.The tourism niche overlap of Xinjiang regions varies widely,and the largest integrated niche overlap is Turfan-Bayin Guolen.The bit overlap is 0.7962,and the smallest overlap is Hetian-Kezhou,with a value of 0.0008.On the whole,the overlap degree of tourism niche in Xinjiang does not exist completely or completely.The comprehensive tourism niche overlap is less than the overlap of each dimension,and the overlap of the social environment dimension and the ecological environment dimension is higher than the other two dimensions.From this,we can see that the social and ecological environment of various regions in Xinjiang is The possibility of fierce competition in both dimensions is greater.(3)Based on the results of tourism niche situation and overlap in Xinjiang,Xinjiang tourism niche is divided into four dimensions:(1)High Situation-High Overlap Area:Altay,Changji;(2)High situation-Low Overlapping area: Urumqi,Yili,Kashi;(3)Low Situation-High Overlap Areas: Aksu,Hami,Boltala,Turpan,Tacheng,Bayinguoleng.;(4)Low Situation-Low Overlap Areas: Kezhou,Hotan,Karamay.
