Nowadays,the implementation of lean construction has been widely concerned by experts,scholars and practitioners at home and abroad.It is a transformation of the construction industry which has greatly improved the performance of projects and customer satisfaction through the elimination of waste and continuous improvement.However,the implementation effect of lean construction is still not as good as expected.Most of the construction contractors' focus is still on the technical level.There is a lack of understanding of lean knowledge and lean thinking behind lean tools.In addition,the application and development of lean construction still have many obstacles such as contractor employees' attitude,organizational culture,and leadership.Therefore,in order to find an effective way to improve lean construction performance,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of lean performance of the project,clarifies the substantive connotation and fundamental objectives of lean construction,to explore the relationship between the influencing factors and lean construction performance.Based on the theoretical analysis,this study constructs the mechanism of action mechanism between contractor employees' dispositional resistance to change,the application of lean construction(which contains the application of lean tools,the learning and application of lean knowledge and the adoption of lean thinking),and the performance of lean construction.From the perspectives of transformational leadership and organizational lean culture,an empirical study was conducted on the relationship between dispositional resistance to change and lean construction,to explore the mediated role of transformational leadership and organizational lean culture.A total of 122 valid questionnaires were collected through questionnaire survey.This paper analyzed the sample data obtained by the PLS-SEM.The results show that the application of lean tools,lean knowledge and lean thinking are all positively related to lean construction performance.The change resistance of employees only negatively affects the learning and application of lean knowledge and the adoption of lean thinking.Transformational leadership and organizational lean culture both mediate the relationship between dispositional resistance to change and lean knowledge learning and application.In addition,organizational lean culture can also mediate the relationship between dispositional resistance to change and lean thinking adoption.From this research and results,it can be seen that in the process of implementing lean construction,contractors need to consider things such as lean knowledge and lean thinking that are hidden behind lean tools.This study proposes to strengthen the construction of organizational lean culture and the presentation of leaders' transformational leadership in the lean construction practice,promote the adoption of lean tools,lean knowledge,and lean thinking,so as to overcome the lean construction of the boycott problem to improve the lean construction project performance.
