Lean production, one of the most advanced production management mode currently in the world, focus on eliminating all waste and emphasizes on maximizing output with minimum input yet without sacrificing the quality. As a result, it can significantly increase company profit and enable the company to react to market changes and customer demands more quickly and flexibly. due to the significant achievement and remarkable contribution it has made to the industries during the past decades, it is now recognized and implemented by more and more companies from various of industries over the world.This study will start with research of Lean definition and its development history. expounds lean theory and methodology in details, including 5 principles of Lean, Lean features and difference between Lean production and traditional manufacturing.8 types of wastes and quite many Lean tools/techniques.Then analyze the background of R company, introduce and analyze some good Lean cases successfully implemented in R company. Meanwhile interpret the process of Lean introduction as well as the application method of Lean tools/techniques.At the end summarize the result and benefit R company got from Lean activities. how Lean helps to strengthen company competiveness and build company culture, and give some suggestions for the next step improvement. which would be very good and helpful guidelines for R company to further develop Lean in the future. This study would also be good example and reference for other companies in China to introduce and implement Lean more effectively.
