The Impact Of Dynamic Externality On The High Quality Development Of Regional Economy

At present,China’s economy has changed from high-speed growth stage to highquality development stage,and high-quality development has become a new issue.At the same time,Comrade Xi Jinping announced at the first China International Import fair that he supported the development of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta and made it a national strategy.The key to the integration and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta lies in the manufacturing industry,which should be supported by the industrial system and industrial development,take advantage of the optimization of business environment and the creation of innovation atmosphere,fully release the potential of regional industrial division and innovation,and effectively play the dynamic externality of manufacturing agglomeration.Therefore,to measure the level of dynamic externality of manufacturing agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta,to study the spatial differentiation characteristics of dynamic externality and its impact on high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta,will provide more experience and reference for the industrial integration in the Yangtze River Delta.The dynamic externalities of manufacturing agglomeration can be divided into the MAR externalities of specialized agglomeration,the Jacobs externalities of diversified agglomeration and the Porter externalities of competitive agglomeration,which affect the high-quality economic development through five transmission mechanisms.One is to promote innovation and development through industry resource sharing,industry knowledge spillover,and competition.The second is to promote coordinated development through urban population agglomeration,enhanced economic benefits and expansion of producer services.The third is to promote green development through the refinement of the industrial chain,technological imitation and innovation,and the increase in demand for intermediate products.The fourth is to promote open development through the increase of industrial competitive advantage,the improvement of labor income and the integration of global production networks.The fifth is to promote the development of sharing through the agglomeration of high-end manufacturing industries in cities,the improvement of labor productivity and the improvement of urban governance.Dynamic externalities affect innovation development,coordinated development,green development,open development,and shared development,and ultimately affect high-quality economic development.Specific to the 27 central cities in the Yangtze River Delta,taking 2010,2014,and 2018 as examples,the Arc GIS software and Geoda software were used to explore the overall spatial distribution pattern of the dynamic externalities of the urban agglomeration of the Yangtze River Delta and found that the high value area of MAR externality diffuses from point to surface.The high-value Jacobs externality distribution is relatively stable.The Porter externality level is similar to the Jacobs externality level,which basically decreases from the southeast to the northwest.From the perspective of its global spatial differentiation characteristics,there is spatial agglomeration in the level of dynamic externalities of urban agglomerations in the Yangtze River Delta,but the overall performance is relatively weak.Judging from its local spatial differentiation characteristics,most single cities in the Yangtze River Delta are not strongly related to their surrounding cities.Regarding the research on the impact of dynamic externalities on the regional economic high-quality development,from the empirical results of the mixed fixed-effect spatial Dubin(SDM)model,the MAR externality of individual cities in the Yangtze River Delta have a significant impact on the city’s high-quality economic development.It has a promoting effect,but it has an insignificant obstacle to the high-quality economic development of the surrounding cities.The Jacobs externality of a single city in the Yangtze River Delta has a significant role in promoting the high-quality economic development of the city,but it has no significant role in promoting the high-quality economic development of the surrounding cities.The Porter externality of a single city in the Yangtze River Delta has a significant role in promoting the high-quality economic development of the city,and it has a significant impediment to the high-quality economic development of the surrounding cities.Therefore,in order to achieve the role of dynamic externalities in promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta economy,it is necessary to coordinate the formulation of industrial policies of cities in the Yangtze River Delta,pay attention to the spontaneous cooperation mode within the Yangtze River Delta,open up a market operation environment suitable for the integration process of the Yangtze River Delta,and strengthen infrastructure connectivity and policy mechanism communication.
