Analysis Of The Factors Affecting China’s Agricultural Products Export Trade Along The Belt And Road Initiative

Since ancient times,China has been a great agricultural country in the world.In the process of economic globalization,President Xi put forward the initiative of co-construction of "Belt and Road "(BRI),which also promotes the new development of China’s agricultural export trade,and the world has reinterpreted the strength of China’s agricultural production and export through this bridge.With the continuous development of the "BRI" strategy,China’s agricultural export trade with the countries along the "BRI" is also growing,but in the process of its development there are also uneven and unreasonable structure problems.It restricts the development of China’s agricultural products export trade.Therefore,it is of practical significance to study the influencing factors of agricultural export trade between China and the countries along the "BRI" and how to promote the development of China’s agricultural export trade by the above-mentioned influencing factors.Based on the relevant theories of international trade and the export data of agricultural products from China to the countries along the "BRI" in 2012-2018,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the scale and structure of agricultural export trade in China to the countries along the "BRI",and finds that the export structure of agricultural products in China is single and the regional structure of export shows uneven development;After analyzing the factors and mechanisms that influence China’s export trade of agricultural products to the countries along the "BRI ",we find that the main influencing factors include economic scale,distance factor,population scale,membership of regional organizations and agricultural factors.Among them,bilateral economic scale,agricultural added value,population size and member countries’ accession to the WTO have a promoting effect on China’s agricultural products export,while geographical factors have a restraining effect,while member countries’ accession to the SCO has no significant impact on agricultural products export trade.Finally,the conclusion of the above research is drawn,and the suggestions are put forward to improve the structure of China’s agricultural products export,enhance the international competitiveness of China’s agricultural products,promote the construction of infrastructure and give play to the active role of regional economic organizations to promote the development of agricultural export trade between China and the countries along the "BRI ".
