The Application And Study Of Quality Gate In Auto Air Condition Product Development Project

With the rapid growth of China automobile industry,the requirement of the project development ability also increased.Though the manufacturing level of the domestic auto component supplier has been improved,but its program development and managementlevel still remained far behind the overseas major industries.As a new program management tool,Quality Gate is now being known and used in more and more companies.This article,based on the APQP process,led to the concept and purpose of the Quality Gate,introduced the key element of the tool,such as gate setup,deliverables and gate reviews.Combining theory with practice,throughout the study of a HVAC product development project,this article analyzed the application of Quality Gate,proved the feasibilityand pointed out the key issue that led to a successful project.Considering the current situation of domestic auto component industry,this article used the contrastive analysis method to study how to carry out the Quality Gate management in private enterprise so as to help them enhancing the program development ability.Moreover,this articlemade some deep research on Quality Gate method,such as the electronization and the extension to the mass production phase.These also improved the applicability and long effectiveness of the Quality Gate.With the study of the Quality Gate,the objective of this article is to seek a general program management mode among China auto component industry.Hopefully more and more companies will benefit from the practice of the Quality Gate.
