Research On Selection And Evaluation Of Y Company's Global Supplier

With the deepening of the process of globalization in recent years,more and more enterprises reduce their operating costs and enhance their core competitiveness by integrating their global resources.So supplier management has become the key point to the enterprise's global development strategy.Under the background of economic globalization,this paper takes Y company's global supplier selection and evaluation as the research object,and develops a scientific and effective global supplier selection and evaluation system for Y company by applying the theory of global procurement management and supplier management.This paper uses the method of enterprise investigation and qualitative analysis to analyze the current situation of supplier selection and evaluation in Y company's global purchasing strategy.It was found that the main reasons leading to the crisis in Y company's supplier management are: a large number of suppliers,one-sided evaluation index,unreasonable evaluation process,and lack of scientific incentives.Based on these reasons,this paper proposed four optimal strategies of supplier management: Classify suppliers of Y company by four quadrant classification method scientifically;optimize the supplier selection process of Y company;use AHP analytic hierarchy process to establish a more reasonable supplier evaluation index;improve supplier evaluation and incentive methods.The conclusions of this study not only provide solutions for Y company to get rid of the trouble of supplier selection and evaluation as soon as possible,but also provide reference for other enterprises to solve similar problems.
