| As an important part of the modern service industry,the science and technology service industry has become a new engine for economic growth.It is in an initial stage of development,with a small overall scale and a low proportion in the national economy.Industrial agglomeration can promote the development of science and technology service industry and enhance its core competitiveness.Therefore,it is necessary to promote the agglomeration of science and technology service industry.We take the China’s science and technology service industry as the research object,and use the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis to study the agglomeration phenomenon.First of all,we make a descriptive analysis to analyze the development status from two aspects: national and regional,and discover the following three characteristics.First,the development speed is relatively high.Second,there is a big difference in the level of development between regions.Third,the agglomeration and development has shown multi-polar development.Secondly,we conduct an in-depth study on regional differences based on the perspective of industrial agglomeration from industry aspect and region aspect.And in order to quantitatively analyze the regional differences,we select industry concentration,spatial Gini coefficient and location entropy to measure the concentration level.Finally,in order to reveal the changing trend of regional differences,we choose the convergence model to judge whether the difference is gradually narrowing and explores the factors affecting the regional differences.The results of quantitative research show that: First,there is agglomeration phenomenon,but the overall level of agglomeration is not high.The agglomerate level in North China is higher,while there is no obvious agglomeration in other regions.Beijing has the highest level of concentration,and other provinces have a low level of concentration.Secondly,through Moran’s I index and Moran scatter plot,it is found that there is a strong spatial correlation between the agglomerate level of provinces,indicating that the agglomerate level in a certain province is not only affected by its own factors,but also by neighboring provinces.Thirdly,we establish a convergence model for convergence analysis based on the calculation of location entropy.It is concluded that there is both spatial absolute convergence and spatial condition convergence in China’s science and technology service industry agglomeration level,which indicates the spatial difference of agglomeration between regions is showing a significant narrowing trend.After adding control variables,it is found that government support,human capital stock,and urban facilities have a significant positive effect on the agglomeration;city turnover have a significant negative effect on the agglomeration.On the basis of the research conclusions,the countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.First,set up special financial funds,establish a specialized service platform,improve the diversified investment operation system,and use the multi-channel powers of government finance,industry associations and private finance to solve the financing difficulties of science and technology service enterprises.Secondly,attach importance to the cultivation and introduction of professional high-end talents,and strengthen human capital investment from the aspects of educating people,attracting people and employing people.Third,with the advantage of local unique resources,we will focus on strengthening the development of advantageous industries in the region.Through the effective allocation of professional knowledge and information network in the agglomeration area,we will create a cluster of science and technology service industries with leading industrial advantages. |
