Efficiency Evaluation Of Logistics Industry In Shaanxi Province And Analysis Of Its Influencing Factors

With the development of economy,the demand for logistics in various industries is increasing,which leads to the rapid development of logistics industry.As an important supporting industry in economic development,the progress of logistics industry is one of the important motive forces to improve GNP.The development of logistics industry can promote the development of other industries,reduce the total social economic cost,and change the mode of economic growth.As a new industry,logistics industry has a good momentum of development in China,which will inevitably become an important driving force for future economic growth.Therefore,it is of great significance to study how to improve the cdeveloprment level of logistics industry under current conditions for improving the economic development level of Shaanxi Province.Taking Shaanxi logistics industry as the research object,this paper evaluates the development level of Shaanxi logistics industry,uses Malmquist model to analyze the dynamic change of Shaanxi logistics industry efficiency fronm 2007 to 2016,and explores the reasons for the change of effi.ciency after decomposition.On this basis,the factors irnfluencing the efficiency of logistics industry in Shaanxi Province are studied.The main cornclusions are as follows:(1)Compared with other provin ces in China,the logistics efficiency of Shaanxi Province is not high?and the average efficiency is 0.758,indicating that the investment has not yet reached the maximum utilization.After decomposing the comprehensive cefficiencys,it is found that the low pure technical efficiency is the main reason for the backxward level of logistics efficiency,which indicates that management and technology are at a low level.(2)During the research period,the total factor productivity of logistics industry in Shaanxi Province showed a downward trend.The average value of total factor productivity is 0.957,which is decomposed into scale efficiency change,technology change and pure technology efficiency change.It is found that the main reason for the overall decline of total factor productivity is the decline of pure technology efficiency.(3)The level of regional economic development,the degree of marketization,the degree of opening to the outside world,the logistics infrastructure and the utilization rate of logistics resources are the significant factors affecting the logistics efficiency of Shaanxi Province.Among them,the degree of opening to the outside world,the level of regional economic development,the logistics infrastructure and the degree of marketization have positive effects on the efficiency of logistics industry in Shaanxi Province.The increase of these five factors can promote the improvement of logistics efficiency,and the degree of increase decreases in turn.The utilization rate of logistics resources is negatively related to the logistics efficiency in Shaanxi Province,and the improvement of the utilization rate of logistics resources will reduce the logistics efficiencyFinally,based on the study of efficiency and its influencing factors,combined with the development status of logistics industry in Shaanxi Province,the countermeasures and suggestions to improve logistics efficiency in Shaanxi Province are put forward from the macro and micro levels.
