Study On Sourcing Strategy In Pharmaceutical Packaging Material

With the continuous development of global economic integration as well as change rapidly in the macroeconomic environment include government,environment,society and technology,the multinational pharmaceutical enterprises no longer enjoy huge profits from its unique patented products,those giants have to rebuild their strategy as well as continue to invest on their pipeline to enhance competitiveness.But in practice,due to the lack of overall concept of supply chain management,sourcing strategy is quite simple and only pays attention to the purchase price and gain short term benefit.Therefore,from the supply chain value perspective,to firm the strategic relationship with external partner and implement the value project in overall areas,so as to ensure the overall supply chain effectiveness and cost optimization,release win-win benefit.This thesis is targeted on packaging material of pharmaceutical,reset the target for sourcing strategy as well as aligned with company strategy;Using Kraljic matrix on material categorizing and supplier relationship matrix on supplier selection to finalize the strategic partner;Through the prioritize matrix,it is prioritized all the source opportunities which is from environmental factor of value chain analysis and Porter's 5 power analysis as well as internal demand,to finalize sourcing strategy list;the final sourcing strategy implementation part is taken paperboard localization as an example,using value engineer onto paperboard scenario selection to continue improve on the overall value of supply chain,to finalize the company strategy.
