Study On The Lean Energy Management In The Painting&Blasting Workshop

The global marine market is impacted by the worldwide financial crisis and comes to down turn.Many negative factors such as low oil price and down-casting Baltic Dry Index brought great pressure to the shipbuilding industry especially in respect of cost control.Compared with the advanced Japanese and Korean shipbuilding companies,the cost control especially energy cost control of Chinese shipbuilding is left behind.To control and cut down energy consumption is of great importance and it is an efficient way to enhance the competitiveness of the company.The painting & blasting workshop is an important department for ship-building company.As an energy consumption department,it represents the significance of energy cost control.The lean energy control management could help the company cut down energy cost and the total electricity consumption.In this paper the author will take the painting & blasting workshop as research model and make the following research:1.The author will first analyze the workflow of the painting & blasting workshop and the related producing equipment and facilities,find out the key energy consumption equipment based on the producing status and equipment usage.2.The author will then make research on the workshop SCADA system,and try to utilize the SCADA system according to the requirement of workshop equipment and energy management,so as to provide data report and set up the foundation of lean energy management.3.The author will introduce the methodology of lean energy management to the workshop,and carry out lean management based on the workflow and key point of management.The author will analyze the related data and energy consuming equipment so as to provide energy control method.This method will also help to improve the lean management of other workshop and companies.
