Organizational culture is the soul of enterprise development and an important factor of enterprise core competitiveness,which plays an important role in forming competitive advantage.Organizational culture permeates every aspect of an enterprise.Recently,more and more attention has been paid to the influence of organizational culture on enterprise performance.A substantial body of research has demonstrated that organizational culture can have an effect on performance.However,the existing researches mainly focus on the characteristics of organizational culture,the study of strength of culture and cultural balance are still inadequate.Meanwhile,little has been known about the mechanism of the impact strength of culture and cultural balance on organizational performance and innovation performance.Based on the framework theory of Cameron and Quinn's competitive values,questionnaires were utilized to survey the staff of the company and collect survey data from 96 companies,and statistical analysis was conducted at the group level.In the study,we make a theoretical and empirical analysis of the relationship between the ternary attributes of organizational culture on organizational performance and innovation performance.Moreover,we try to examine the impact of the ternary attributes of organizational culture on organizational performance and innovation performance as well as to reveal the moderating role of environmental dynamism between them.Further,based on person-centered approach,we used the latent profile analysis to explore the interactive mode of organizational cultural traits and the strength of culture.The study results showed that:(1)The adhocracy culture is beneficial to the innovation performance,and has an inverted u-shaped curve to the innovation performance.(2)Cultural balance is beneficial to the innovation performance.(3)The strength of culture weaken the effect of hierarchical culture on organizational performance and innovation performance.Besides,it also weaken the effect of market culture on financial performance and the effect of adhocracy culture on financial performance.(4)Environmental dynamics has a significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between business culture and financial performance as well as a significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between the strength of culture and financial performance and market performance.(5)The effect of strong and balanced culture on organizational performance and innovation performance is significantly higher than that of weak and balanced culture.Regarding the strength of the culture and balanced culture can get better accurate understanding of the relationship between organizational culture and organizational performance and innovation performance.
