Social Media Usage On Workplace Spirituality In The Workplace

Abstract/Summary:
The workplace spirituality is one of the research hotspots of the western management circles in the past decade.In recent years,with the improvement of material living standards,more and more employees have begun to pay attention to spiritual needs in the workplace.The workplace spirituality has begun to attract the attention of scholars in the domestic academic circles.However,the existing research focus on the mechanism of workplace spirituality on individual attitudes and behaviors,and lack of sufficient discussion on the formation mechanism of workplace spirituality,which limits the practice of spirituality in the workplace.At the same time,social media is widely used in the workplace for its ease of use and timeliness,helping employees complete their work,and social media-based research shows that social media use has an important impact on individual perceptions and attitudes,but the relationship and mechanism between social media use and workplace spirituality is still not clear enough.Therefore,in order to explore the process of social media use mechanism of employee’s workplace spirituality,based on self-determination theory,resource conservation theory,social exchange theory,the relational energy is used as a mediator variable,and inclusive leadership is used as a moderate variable to construct a study on the influence of social media use on workplace spirituality model.Using the questionnaire survey method as the research method,the statistical samples SPSS23.0,HLM6.80 and Mplus7.4 were used to empirically analyze the valid samples.The empirical results show that:(1)social use and hedonic use have significant positive effects on relationship energy and workplace spirituality;(2)relationship energy plays a partial mediating role between cognitive use,social use and workplace spirituality,and plays a full mediating role between hedonic use and employee workplace spirituality;(3)inclusive leadership has a significant positive impact on the workplace spirituality;inclusive leadership plays a negative cross-layer moderate role between hedonic use and workplace spirituality.The relationship between inclusive leadership and negative regulation of social use,cognitive use and workplace spirituality is not supported.The findings clarify the process of social media use in the workplace on the workplace spirituality,and provide a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of social media on the workplace spirituality,and provide a more reasonable social media use policy.
