Research On The Factors Affecting The Industrial Agglomeration Of Chinese Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party pointed out that "China’s economy has shifted from a high-speed growth stage to a high-quality development stage." How to optimize the industrial agglomeration model and build a world-class advanced manufacturing cluster is a major problem facing China’s economic development.The pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is one of the seven strategic emerging industries and five high-tech industries in China.It belongs to the category of advanced manufacturing,studies the development of pharmaceutical industry agglomeration,discusses the factors affecting industrial agglomeration,and “cultivates several world-class advanced manufacturing industries for China”."Cluster",the early realization of "China’s advanced industries are moving towards the high-end in the global value chain" has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on the research background and significance,this paper firstly uses the literature combing method to sort out the factors of industrial agglomeration,industrial agglomeration,factors affecting industrial agglomeration and factors affecting the industrial agglomeration of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.Secondly,it analyzes the development status of China’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and its seven major industries.Thirdly,the location entropy index is used to measure the industrial agglomeration of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,and the regional heterogeneity of industrial agglomeration is analyzed.Finally,using the dynamic and static panel models and spatial panel data to estimate the industrial agglomeration of China’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and its influencing factors,mainly researching the core factors of human capital,government support,technological innovation and transportation conditions for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.The impact and further explanation of the empirical results.In general,the level of agglomeration of pharmaceutical industry in China is quite different.The industrial agglomeration of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has such characteristics.It has a low concentration in economically developed regions and a high concentration in regions with relatively backward economy.China’s pharmaceutical industry agglomeration has many influencing factors and regional heterogeneity.From a national perspective,human capital,technological innovation,and transportation have significantly promoted the level of pharmaceutical industry agglomeration,and government support has no significant impact on industrial agglomeration.In terms of regions,human capital,government support,and technological innovation have regional heterogeneity characteristics.Among them,human capital showed positive effects on the level of pharmaceutical industry agglomeration in the central region;government support also played a significant role in promoting the industrial agglomeration of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in the central region;technological innovation showed that the pharmaceutical industry gathered in the eastern and western regions.Significant promotion effect;transportation conditions have a significant promotion effect on the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in the eastern,central and western regions,indicating that the impact of transportation conditions on the pharmaceutical industry agglomeration has no regional heterogeneity.
