Based on the research and theory of industrial agglomeration, the formation mechanism of industrial agglomeration and its spatial effects is analyzed.Taking 41 counties in Jiangsu Province as the main research object, this paper analyzes the status quo of industrial development in the county of Jiangsu Province, and finds that the gap between the north and the south still exists and there is a trend of coordination.Using the relative scale of industry to measure the industrial agglomeration degree of the county, combined with ArcGIS for visual map display.Based on the analysis of industrial agglomeration from time and space dimensions,it is found that there is an upward trend in the driving force of county industry for economic growth,The industrial agglomeration of counties in Jiangsu Province forms a spatial pattern of north-south differentiation. The characteristics of industrial agglomeration in the county of Jiangsu Province are different from north to south.Verification of the existence of spatial effects based on exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA),from the global and local perspectives, the spatial autocorrelation of county industrial agglomeration is analyzed, the preliminary exploration of the spatial effects of industrial agglomeration in the county shows that there is a significant positive global spatial correlation in the industrial agglomeration of the county, and the spatial effect of industrial agglomeration in the county does exist. From the LISA agglomeration map,the “hot spot” area of industrial agglomeration is located in the southern part of Jiangsu, and the “cold spot” area is located in the northern part of Jiangsu.Spatial dependence is obvious and spatial heterogeneity is less.Incorporating spatial factors to construct a spatial Durbin model(SDM)to quantify the spatial effects of industrial agglomeration and analyze factors affecting industrial agglomeration. The spatial spillover effect of industrial agglomeration in the county was found to be 0.514.Industrial agglomeration produces significant positive spatial spillover effects. The industrial agglomeration degree of the county is increased by 1 unit, and the industrial agglomeration degree of neighboring counties is increased by 0.514 units.Industrial agglomeration in this county is an important factor affecting industrial agglomeration in other counties. In other explanatory variables, there is a significant positive spatial spillover effect on firm size and road density. There is a significant negative spatial spillover effect on population density, market demand, and openness. The spatial spillover effect of government intervention is not significant. On the basis of the previous article,it is proposed that the northern counties need to increase the income of residents, expand the population size, and accelerate the formation of local market effects, reasonably increase the number of industrial enterprises and expand the externalities of the industry, improve the level of open economy and increase the degree of freedom of trade in the county.Southern counties need to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, and enhance county industrial leadership, play a leading role in space and coordinate gaps in the south.Measures to strengthen North-South interaction include optimizing transportation infrastructure and reducing trade costs, exploring industrial “precise poverty alleviation” model and strengthening North-South interaction.
