A Comparative Study On The Level Of Sustainable Development Between Hohhot And Ulaanbaatar

This paper is an important part of the special project of basic resources investigation of ministry of science and technology(2017FY101300)and the international cooperation project of china-mongolia-russia economic and trade cooperation and establishment of collaborative innovation center of grassland silk road economic belt(GJHZ201704).The urbanization process can effectively promote the development of social economy,the improvement of people's life and the transformation of living style.In this process,the social industrial structure,people's living environment and urban space are constantly transforming into modern cities.However,although the urbanization process can promote the social and economic development of cities,if not properly guided and managed,this process will bring many problems such as waste of resources,environmental pollution and stagnant social development.The uneven development level of urbanization in Hohhot and ulaanbaatar seriously hinders the comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development of population,economy,space,society and environment in the two cities.How to realize the comprehensive,coordinated and balanced development of urbanization is of great significance for improving people's living standards and realizing the comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development of regional economy and society.Supported by population migration theory,economic growth theory,location theory,ecological economy theory and sustainable development theory,this paper takes Hohhot and ulaanbaatar as research areas to evaluate their sustainable development levels and make comparative analysis.Hohhot and ulaanbaatar established by the comprehensive index system of sustainable development,to explain and effectiveness analysis of index selection,and using principal component analysis(pca)and entropy weight method,it is concluded that the main composition of load matrix,the calculation of 2003-2016,spatial,social,population,economy,environment five aspects of the comprehensive index and two city comprehensive index of sustainable development as a whole.Secondly,the paper makes a comparative analysis of the comprehensive index of sustainable development in five aspects and the existing problems.The results show that the population sustainability and environmental sustainability of Hohhot are not ideal.In recent years,the marginal growth rate of the population sustainability composite index shows a downward trend,while the overall growth rate of the environmental sustainability composite index is unstable,which shows obvious environmental restoration effect and poor pollution control effect.The growth rate of the spatial sustainable comprehensive index of Hohhot is slowing down and the economic and social sustainable development is in good condition.The population sustainable comprehensive index of ulaanbaatar shows a slanting s-type change,and the level of social sustainable development is weak,which is manifested by the unsound infrastructure and hinders the further development of the society.The sustainable economic growth showed a small increase of S,but the later growth was weak,mainly due to the imbalance of industrial structure,and the sustainable spatial and environmental development was better.In addition,according to the proportionof the two cities,the sustainable development of Hohhot mainly depends on the promotion of economic and social sustainable development,while the sustainable development of ulaanbaatar is mainly promoted by population and environment.Thirdly,the comprehensive index of the overall sustainable development of the two cities was compared and analyzed.The results showed that the overall sustainable development of Hohhot was relatively stable,while that of ulaanbaatar was relatively volatile.Combined with the correlation between the criterion layer and the index of the two cities,it can be seen that the two cities have different advantages and disadvantages.Finally,according to the research results,the problems existing in the sustainable development of the two cities are proposed,and combined with the advantages and disadvantages of the two cities to put forward Suggestions for the sustainable development of the two cities.
