At present,China’s high-tech zones have developed into an export-oriented industrial park with a high degree of intensive land use, concentrated modern manufacturing, prominent industrial agglomeration effects, and dense foreign investment, and played an important role in promoting China’s socialist modernization. The development of China’s high-tech zones is closely linked to multinational corporations. As an integral part of the agglomeration area, multinational corporations have expanded exchanges and cooperation between the region and the region, accelerated the diffusion of external knowledge and technology locally, improved the regional innovation capability, and promoted the technological upgrading of local industrial agglomerations. The development of the local economy and the improvement of people’s living standards have created favorable conditions for the further development of agglomeration. Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze how the government and enterprises should adopt the countermeasures and embed the multinational corporations into the industrial agglomeration of high-tech zones in China.By combing the literature,it is found that multinational companies have embedded in the host country’s industrial agglomeration, such as technology, system, social and economic embedded. And believe that human capital, market size, infrastructure and government policies have a positive effect on industrial agglomeration. This paper analyzes the total industrial agglomeration of high-tech zones, the trend of industrial agglomeration and the status of multinational companies embedded in high-tech zones. It can be concluded that the level of industrial agglomeration in China’s high-tech zones is higher than the national level as a whole, but the distribution is not very balanced. Therefore, balanced development is a major issue for our government.Using the panel data of 20 stable high-tech zones in China from 2010 to 2017,the model was constructed to carry out regression analysis on the factors affecting industrial agglomeration. However, because social and institutional embedding is difficult to use data statistics, the impact of economic embedding and technology embedding on industrial agglomeration in high-tech zones is analyzed in empirical research. The economic embedded use of foreign direct investment indicates that the technology is embedded in the sum of the number of the world’s top500 companies and the number of foreign R&D institutions. It is concluded that economic embedding, technology embedding, human capital, market size, infrastructure, and government policies all have a positive impact on the industrial agglomeration of high-tech zones.Based on theoretical analysis and empirical results, the paper puts forward some policy recommendations for attracting foreign direct investment and promoting industrial agglomeration and regional economic development.First of all, enterprises in the high-tech zone should strengthen cooperation with universities, teaching and research institutions, improve the level of innovative technology, actively expand overseas markets, join the global value chain, continuously reduce the dependence on multinational corporations, and enhance corporate learning awareness.Awareness of cooperation. It is necessary to be soberly aware that only by mastering the core technologies within the industry can we maintain strong competitiveness, and we cannot achieve rapid development by relying solely on vicious competition methods such as price wars.Second, the government should implement the industry-driven strategy, give full play to the advantages of agglomeration, adopt various ways to attract talents, make full use of foreign capital, pay attention to industrial agglomeration in various regions, and take measures to give full play to the unique advantages of industrial agglomeration so that multinational companies feel Agglomeration is profitable, and only in this way can attract more foreign investors to invest in China. |
