In recent years,regional economic integration has developed rapidly.the "Belt and Road Initiative"advocated by China is a reflection of this trend.The five Central Asian countries are one of the important regions for implementing this initiative.The construction of China-Central Asia Free Trade Area is of great practical significance for achieving the deep cooperation in economic and trade between China and the five Central Asian countries.Based on qualitative analysis,quantitative analysis and model analysis,this thesis first analyzes the status quo and trends of economic and trade development between China and the five Central Asian countries,and then demonstrates the feasibility of constructing China-Central Asia Free Trade Area from multiple angles and levels.Then,by means of the trade complementarity index and the GTAP model,the trade complementarity between China and the five Central Asian countries and trade effects are analyzed.The conclusions obtained show that China and the five Central Asian countries have strong trade complementarities and potential bilateral trade.It further simulates the trade effect of the construction of the China-Central Asia Free Trade Area and finds that can be accompanied by Expanding the trade scale between China and the five Central Asian countries and improving China's terms of trade.Finally,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for constructing the China-Central Asia Free Trade Area.First,it must establish a set of institutional norms,and take into account the differences among countries to formulate the framework gradually,then infrastructure construction and industrial cooperation need to be strengthen.
