| In recent years,the world econom ic globalization and regional economic integration have developed rapidly,and the opening and integration of the economy between countries have been continuously im proved.Regional or bilateral cooperation has become a very important economic policy choice for m ost countries because of lower transaction costs and less barriers." Promote the construction of Silk Road Economic Belt and twenty-first Century Maritime Silk Road vision and action" clearly puts "China Pakistan Economic Corridor" as an im portant part of the Silk Road Econom ic Belt construction.The construction of the "China Pakistan Econom ic Corridor" is of gr eat significance not only for the developm ent of trade between China and P akistan,but also for the countries along the silk road.Therefore,in the background of The Belt and Road strategy,the research of China Pakis tan free trade area will help to increase the trade volume between the two countries,prom oting the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and The Belt and Road.Based on the comprehensive research of China Pakistan FTA development,bilateral trade development and bilateral trade advantages,the paper uses related index to analysis the trade competition and complementary of the two countries,and using the gravity model of trade to evaluate the tr ade expansion ef fect of China Pakista n bilateral free trade zone.Finally,the paper focuses on the reasons for the poor implementation of the China Pakistan Free T rade Zone,and proposes tar geted measures for improvement.The results show that: first,since 2000,China and Pakistan have witnessed rapid growth in bilateral tr ade,but the trade st ructure is unbalanced;Second,there is a great complementarity between the industr ies of China and Pa kistan;Third: the establishment of the C hina Pakistani fr ee trade zone has no obvious ef fect on the expansion of China Pakistani trade;Fourth: imperfect China Pakistan FT A and Pakistan’s domestic political security and othe r issues are the m ain reason for the effect of the implementation of the China Pakistani free trade zone is not obvious. |
