The Research On The Trade Effect Of The FTAAP

With the rapid development of regional economy in the world,,A variety of regional trade agreements appear, the cooperation ways of the Asia-pacific regional economy are diversified.Too many various trade agreements in this region.People worry about the problem of trade fragmentation.Now a unified comprehensive regional trade agreements is in urgent need to integrate the scattered trade agreements,So,to promote the the construction of the FTAAP has high feasibility.The proposal of FTAAP was presented in 2004,and the process of FTAAP finally has a new progress in 2014,it is an important decision,has a far-reaching impact on the world economy.If the FTAAP was formally completed finally,The economic benefits of any FTA will not be able to go beyond the FTAAP.This paper first analyzes the background and significance of the FTAAP, summaries the domestic and foreign research about the feasibility of building the FTAAP and research achievements of FTA trade effects.Then the first part discusses the relative theories about the trade effect of the FTAAP. The second part studies the present situation and trade intensity of main countries in the Asia-Pacific region’s economic. The third part calculates the relevant index,and then probes into the construction of FTAAP will produce the trade effect of static and dynamic effects. It concludes that countries in the Asia-Pacific region have close economic relationship,they are competed and complementary to each other.The forth part uses the trade gravity model to build the trade effect of the FTAAP has carried on the empirical test,and finds that the trade effect will be obvious. This article finally puts forward some suggestions to the construction of the FTAAP.
