A Study On Fast Growing M's Product Development Process Optimization

As the fast developing of science and economic growing,the tendency that marketing becomes global starts to be more and more common.Marketing starts to change fast and the products for customer need to be updated frequently.Customer demands become more and more diverse.The scenario of marketing and product fast change does cause the shorten life time.The competition getting more serious on the marketing.M company take the advantage of the highly booming automobile market and become the leader for this special field.But M company shows a mass pressure under this booming situation as it cannot fulfil the customer demand due to orders are out of M company's development capabilities.Based on the mature theory of ASME analysis,Benchmarking and Theory of Constraints the article makes a thoroughly analysis on product development process of M company.Some useful tools have been applied to dig out the weakness of the process and find out solution how to improve the product development efficiency.ASME analysis can help to distinguish the valve added and non-valve added activities inside the process.Then valve added process can be arranged to be handled in parallel as much as possible.And non-valve added process can be reduced to be a certain level so that the process efficiency can be greatly improved.Benchmarking is good way to dig out the potential miss or error on the process.At the meantime,Stage-gate system has been introduced to re-organize the product development process.The system can make sure the process are well organized and all the milestone can be well controlled.It does speed up the development process.Considering the situation of M company product development process,the paper is trying to dig out the critical weakness in the process according to the theory guidance and own experience on the new product development administration.And then figure out the suitable process optimization solution for the situation.Even though there are still finding that the optimized process still have problems,the process re-engineering does bring efficiency improvement for M company.Those findings and problems are still something that we need to do on the continuous improvement.
