With the rapid development of economic globalization,the high-tech industry has become the pillar industry in the era of knowledge economy,which is the key indicator to reflect a country's overall economic strength and export competitiveness.Scientific and technological innovation is the basis of national and enterprise survival and development,and is also an important factor to measure the international competitiveness of high-tech products.In recent years,China has been increasing investment in scientific research and new product development to improve the technical content of products,and the export volume and competitiveness of high-tech products are on the rise.Under the new situation,a profound understanding of the path of scientific and technological innovation to the export competitiveness of high-tech products,and of the extent of the promotion of various factors,can have a positive guiding role in policy-making,not only can help make full use of resources to enhance China's innovation ability and scientific and technological strength,but also is conducive to the overall promotion of China's high-tech products export competitiveness and international status.The contents of this paper are the issues that how to improve the export competitiveness of high-tech industries through scientific and technological innovation,that which specific factors of scientific and technological innovation have a significant impact on the export competitiveness of high-tech industries,and other related issues.By presenting the theory on technology progress promoting trade advantage in the field of international trade,this thesis firstly analyzes the transmission mechanism of producer and consumer's behaviors on the export competitiveness of high-tech industry under the condition of technology progress,and expounds the main views of the domestic and foreign scientific and technological innovation on the impact of high-tech industry export competitiveness.Secondly,the thesis examines the level of export competitiveness of high-tech industries in China,the status quo of scientific and technological innovation activities,and the existing problems.Finally,combined with the characteristics of China's high-tech industries,the thesis selects the indicators of scientific and technological innovation,and makes a factor analysis of the indicators of export competitiveness.Through using the 2000-2016 data of China's high-tech industry scientific and technological innovation and import and export,the thesis does empirical research on the correlation and the degree of impact between scientific and technological innovation and export competitiveness of high-tech industries.The results show that the R&D input intensity,GOV,RP,FDI and PA have different effects on export competitiveness.One is that GOV is negatively correlated with the export competitiveness of high-tech industries.Government funding variables have a negative impact on export competitiveness.The second is that the current PA has a time lag in the export competitiveness of high-tech industries.Third,FDI has a significant positive correlation to the export competitiveness of high-tech industries in China.After the introduction of lag period,its role has decreased significantly.FDI plays a dual role in the development of high-tech industries in China.Fourth,no matter in the current or lag period,the R&D input intensity on the export competitiveness significance has a stronger significance,with RCA,TC,MS and TB as the representative than with IIT as the representative of the export competitiveness significance.Fifth,the impact of RP on export competitiveness is not significant for there is a large intermediate product trade in high-tech industry in China and the high-tech industry trade is still dominated by processing trade.Finally,the relevant policy recommendations and further research prospects are put forward according to the research conclusions and combined with the status quo.
