Lean Production Research In Company C Based On VSM

With the economic globalization,the telecommunication market becomes a higher competitive market.As the last one mile of communication infrastructure,the design technology and manufacturing technology improves quickly,and the gap of the product quality between different company becomes smaller and smaller.At the same time,with the rapid progress of telecommunication technology,the requirement for the product quality becomes much higher than before.The customers want better quality,better lead time and less cost.In order to meet these requirements,more and more management teams focus on how to do LEAN production effectively,and also want to improve the operation and sustain the product competition.The thesis is based upon VSM,and combined with Lean production to analyze the current situation of company C,and we can confirm that with VSM the company could improve the product quality,raise working efficiency,and reduce the cost.The thesis uses VSM to analysis the current status of company C,and find out some opportunity for improvement,then try to make improvement from product quality,efficiency and cost.Try to improve the product quality with DOE,and to improve production efficiency with brainstorming and SMED,then try to reduce the cost with 5 Why method and KANBAN management,and also verify the results with those methods.
