With national policy adjustment and design marketing increasing fierce completion,more and more design institutes have been upgraded and transformed into engineering companies in order to gain greater development space and profits.Those design institutes have entered the engineer oriented EPC market by their own advantages.Company A has restructured into a SASAC's wholly owned subsidiaries of large state-owned enterprises from one original provincial design unit.And it gradually developed into a general contractor,engineering design,engineering consulting,engineering supervision,engineering cost consulting and engineering technology development capabilities engineering company.It has won two excellent national engineer design gold awards,one sliver award,one bronze award,one first prize fornational scientific and technological advancement in industryand more than 80 outstanding design awards for provincial and ministerial level.The company has completed more than 20 large projects and achieved good returns.It already became a national AAAA credit enterprise.Thanks to company development strategy and management model continuous exploration and optimization,it can stand out in the fierce competition.CompanyA development strategy and management model also experienced a gradual development process.In 1988,Company A began to use a cost plus bonus model to carry out management contracting business and accumulated some project management experiences.Then company business gradually shifted to the EPC general contracting model and also proposed the target that achieves one “First-class engineering company in China”.To achieve this goal,we need enhance our project management capabilities.Special cost managementas an important part of project management is the key factor in achieving targeted profitability.This thesis analyzes EPC current status quo and its cost management and introduces themain content and EPC cost management method.Then use company A as example.It analysis and summarizes the method of EPC for LNG project.As the leader of the EPC,the design directly affects the purchasing and construction costs and plays a decisive role in the cost of the project.In order to successfully transition,A company must gain a firm foothold in the highly competitive EPC market.It is also necessary to constantly sum up experience in practice,deepen reforms,adopt limit design,optimize design plans and other measures to control project costs,and strengthen information management.The use of Poweron,P6 and other similar software to gradually increase its EPC cost management level,thus enhancing the company's competitiveness,to achieve the development goals of becoming a domestic first-class engineering company.
