MIMO radar is a research hotspot in recent years.It can achieve higher angular resolution and stronger target detection capability by using virtual array element technology.However,higher requirements are placed on the number of sampling channels,real-time performance and bandwidth of the signal processing system.According to the RF front-end with multi-carrier frequency manufactured,the high-speed signal processing system applied to MIMO radar is developed.The main content of this article is as follows:1.In line with the design specifications,this paper designs the plan on the basis of the high-speed processing system of FPGA and multi-core DSP.The FPGA chip takes responsibility for the data acquisition of multi-approaches,the pre-treatment of signal and the control of whole system.Implementation of complicated algorithm are realized in DSP;DDR3 stores mass data;the communication between the system and PC is achieved by the serial port and the ethernet port.On account of the detailed study on every module,the author completes the design of the schematic diagram and that of PCB of the high-speed signal processing system according to the signal integrity theory.2.Owing to the larger data throughput and high real time requirement of the system,this paper focuses on the data transmission of SRIO between FPGA and DSP.Based on the detailed research on the interface protocol of SRIO,the interface of SRIO is simulated with the signal integrity under the transmission rate of 2.5 Gbps,and finally a stable transmission rate up to 10 Gbps is achieved.The software design scheme of SRIO interface is given in this paper.The technology of ping-pong transmission and EDMA,etc.are adopted to improve the efficiency of data transmission and data processing between chips.3.In view of the condition that currently domestic scholars don't further study on the polynuclear DSP,multi-core startup,parallel processing mode,multi-core data storage,multi-core Cache consistency and inter-core communication are studied in the paper.4.The classical algorithm for DOA estimation of MIMO radar——MUSIC algorithm gives the parallel design scheme implemented in the polynuclear DSP.Ultimately the system joint debugging test is conducted.The experimental results show that the high-speed signal processing system based on FPGA and the polynuclear DSP architecture has many advantages,such as low power consumption,strong real-time performance,large bandwidth,and strong signal processing capability.
