In order to meet the demands of the complicated environment in the modern war, it must be paid attention to the innovation in radar system and technology.The perfect combination of the radar array technology and digital technology has given rise to a new concept about digital array radar.The multifunction and high performance of digital array radar put forward a high requirement to the hardware platform and software implementations of the signal processors.The paper gives a brief introduction about the working principle and composition of the HPRF-PD digital array radar. Combined with the system,it presents the signal processing platform of high pulse repetition frequency Pulse-Doppler (HPRF-PD) digital array radar,which is designed based on TI’s multi-core DSP processor TMS320C6678 and XILINX’s high performance chip XC7K325T.Besides, the hardware schematics and PCB design is finished and tested. On the hardware platform,the software of HPRF-PD digital array radar based on the multi-core DSP is programmed and tested.The paper then gives a detailed description about the software development based on the multi-core DSP.By means of inter-core communication,shared variables and other multi-core communication methods,the mission control, high-speed data distribution and access,real-time signal processing,display processing and other tasks are implemented in radar signal processors.Finally, each signal and data processing module is debugged on the platform.The correctness of each signal processing module is also verified by using the dedicated radar echo signal simulator in the laboratory.The comparision between the result from the overall control interface and the signal generated by the dedicated radar echo signal simulator, indicates that the signal and data processing module can meet the requirements of real-time signal processing and realize a stable and efficient search, acquisition and three-dimensional tracking of the target.
