Social media, with its stable functions and large user groups, has always had a certain influence among netizens. However, due to its long operation time and large user base, the amount of information available in a single day is constantly expanding, and the accumulative amount of information inside its server is even larger. It is even harder for people to get the information they want from a mass of information by simple retrieval methods. How to ensure users' continuous use of social media has become the study focus of platforms of this category.Domestic research on continuance intention has covered many fields, such as e-government,knowledge community, mobile reading and so on.However, information anxiety is still a relatively immature theory in China.Combining information anxiety with continuance intention and taking social media as the research object not only broadens the theory of continuance intention, but brings information anxiety into the public's horizon as well.Based on the theory of technology acceptance model, this paper hypothesizes 13 variables that influence users' continuance intention towards social media under information anxiety.Based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology,a new model is created and tested by issuing questionnaires.SPSS20.0 software was used to analyze and verify the collected data, adding a bit of theoretical research to the field of continuance intention.Through a series of research and analysis, this paper summarizes the factors influencing users' continuance intention towards social media, obtains the model of factors influencing users' continuance intention towards social media under information anxiety, and puts forward some suggestions for the development of social media.
