With the development of science and technology and the needs of people in daily life and production,indoor positioning service is becoming more and more important.Among the popular indoor positioning technologies,with the characteristics of low cost and low power consumption,ZigBee technology can be well used in indoor positioning.In this paper,on the basis of summarizing the previous positioning technologies and analyzing the positioning algorithms,the original indoor positioning algorithm is improved.Finally,the algorithm is implemented by using ZigBee technology.In this paper,the background and significance of the research on the subject are summarized at first,then the common indoor positioning methods are expatiated,especially the TOA,TDOA,AOA and RSSI methods.Through the analysis and comparison,the fingerprint algorithm based on RSSI is selected as the basic algorithm in this paper.In view of the defects of the original algorithm,the improved fingerprint algorithm is proposed.In order to analyze and compare the algorithms,MATLAB is used for simulation.The simulation results show that the positioning accuracy of the improved fingerprint algorithm is improved obviously by the comparison.Next,by analyzing the theory of ZigBee and the functional characteristics,this paper sets up a ZigBee wireless network,and implements the correlation algorithm.Through the design of the application layer software part of the ZigBee node,the data transmission rate is improved and the time required for fingerprint acquisition is reduced.In addition,the interface of upper computer is designed,which is mainly used to collect the fingerprint data of reference point,establish fingerprint database and observe in a real-time.Finally,the experiment platform is built in the indoor environment,the improved fingerprint algorithm is chosen to finish the positioning experiment,and the positioning environment is modified appropriately according to the actual requirements of the positioning system.The effectiveness of the improved positioning algorithm is verified by experiments,and the overall design of ZigBee indoor positioning system is completed.
