In recent years, due to the great popularization of wireless network and mobile intelligent terminal users, the demand of LBS (location based services) exhibited rapidly and grow fast. Location service has received more and more attention in every field of social production and people’s life, and it has shown a good development prospect and a huge market space. Its commercial value will be immeasurable, positioning technology as the basis of location-based services, in recent years has also made rapid development.In addition to the well-known GPS (Outdoor positioning), there are indoor positioning technology. Because the GPS signals indoors and can not achieve accurate positioning, can only roughly locate the target in which building, in the indoor environment, due to signal attenuation and other factors, GPS has been unable to meet the existing application on the positioning accuracy requirements, so, it also makes indoor positioning has been more and more attention has been paid to theA complete set of indoor positioning system, including two parts, hardware and algorithm, compared to the hardware, algorithms are more flexible, a same hardware platform can be used to a variety of algorithms, or optimize the algorithm, so as to improve the accuracy of positioning. This is the reason why the number of person study on algorithm more than study on the hardware. Based on this situation, this topic design a set of indoor positioning technology research platform, to provide an indoor localization algorithm interface for researchers. This platform includes ZigBee and WiPi, which are being used widly, in addition, considering the gyroscope and accelerometer has a good performancein in indoor positioning, so the platform also provide algorithm interface based on gyro and accelerometerThe platform includes hardware and PC,the hardware including:anchor node, node localization, communication node, which the main role of anchor nodes is emit ZigBee and WiFi signal, node localization in addition to being responsible for data acquisition and transmission also provide algorithm interface and display. The communication node is responsible for establishing the communication between the host computer and the positioning node. The host computer mainly provides the algorithm interface, and also has the display function.The main work of this paper includes:each module circuit design, component selection, PCB, circuit welding, debugging, each module driver program, parameter setting, design of communication protocol, and finally the debugging work. The results show that this system can avoid the traditional cable system of high cost, poor compatibility, low safety factor, it has certain innovation and practicability.
