Research On The Development Of Chinese Contemporary Publishing Academic Journals

The author sorts out the historical development process of publishing academic journals since the founding of the People's Republic of China.It is divided into three stages: the initial stage,the adjustment and rapid development stage,and the steady development stage.The types and characteristics of the published journals appearing at each stage are analyzed.The data is sorted and analyzed,from the academic influence,column development,author team,academic hotspots,and digital construction of four influential publishing academic journals,"Publishing Research","Editorial Academic Journal","Editorial Friend",and "Acta Editologica".The author finds that the current published academic journals have problems such as fewer featured journals,low international influence,and insufficient digital construction.In response to these problems,the author believes that publishing academic journals should take the branding route,starting from five aspects: topic selection,column setting,author team,international influence and digital transformation.The author proposes that these journals should innovate in topic planning to strengthen the discourse power of journals,create a boutique column taking into account stability and flexibility,stabilize the core author group to explore new authors,strengthen the construction of international influence,deepen the digitalization of journals and the transformation of knowledge service.
