Under the multiple pressures of technological change,loss of audience and declining earnings.News innovation represented by news visualization is in full swing,and news games are one of them.The news game,as the name suggests,is the intersection of news and games,It uses gamified procedural rhetoric strategies to embed news facts into the virtual game environment in accordance with the principles of journalism.It can not only convey information to audiences,but also immerse experience through realistic game environment.The presentation of news in the form of games is undoubtedly a major change for journalism and the game industry.This paper focuses on the current situation,problems and solutions of news games,which is divided into five parts.In the introduction part,the author mainly introduces the research background and significance of this paper,the concept definition of news game and the main research methods and ideas,clarifying its concept and defining the scope of the news game researched in this article.The first chapter is an overview of news games.The author combed the development status,rising context and function of news games.The second chapter,the characteristics of the news game.The author takes 70 news game works,which are launched by Phoenix New Media,People's Daily,Caixin online and news game website Game The News as research samples,from three aspects of the text features,the features of the presentation form and the communication characteristics of the news games.Study.The third chapter focuses on the psychological characteristics of the news game audience and analyzes the needs of the audience,It is believed that news games satisfy the four demands of audience's cognition,identity,emotional appeal and entertainment.In the fourth chapter,the author analyzes the current situation of the application and finds out the problems existing in the communication process,including the poor communication effect and the ethical risk of news games.Finally,according to the above problems,the corresponding optimization strategies and suggestions are put forward.In the research method,this paper uses the method of content analysis,case analysis and participatory observation to study the new media form of news game.At the same time,this paper applies the theory of "The play theory of mass communication","immersion theory" and "Maslow's demand theory" to demonstrate the views.Through the application of research methods and theories,it can enhance the credibility of the argu ment and make it more abundant and reasonable.News game is a new form of news report in the digital age,It conforms to the characteristics of communication and immersive communication in the digital era,and conforms to the personalized,fragmented,and shared audience reading trends.Applying it to news reports is bound to improve the effectiveness of traditional news dissemination,increase the audience's stickiness,and promote the integration of the borders between the news industry and the game industry.The author believes that although the current domestic and foreign news games are only "Little Lotus is exposed," and face many challenges,as long as there are targeted countermeasures and guidance,its development prospects are considerable,and may become a kind of future news report.trend.
