With the development of large-scale Integrated Circuit technology,System-on-Chip and Two-Dimensional Network-on-Chip have been produced.However,with further increasing of chip integration,Two-Dimensional Network-on-Chip reached the bottleneck in layout,area,density,power consumption and other aspects.In order to overcome the bottleneck in Two-Dimensional Network-on-Chip,Two-Dimensional Network-on-Chip was proposed and quickly became research focus.In the study of Three-Dimensional Network-on-Chip,topology is one of the key issues.The Three-Dimensional Network-on-Chip topology is one of the most important factors that affect the transmission capability of the network,which directly affects the performance of the Three-Dimensional chip.In this paper,Three-Dimensional Network-on-Chip topologies are studied and mainly finished the following contents.the research on Three-Dimensional Network-on-Chip topology structures based on Platonic solids multistage fission models is carried out in depth by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.In this paper,the generation process of tetrahedron fission topology in Three-Dimensional Network-on-Chip is introduced.Coding scheme and routing algorithm are proposed for this topology,and simulation for the tetrahedron fission topology is conducted.The simulation results show,tetrahedron fission topology can achieve lower average latency and fewer average hops than Mesh under uniform traffic pattern,When the injection rate is 0.02,comparing with Mesh,the average latency degrades by 16.8%and the average hops decrease 5.5%;Under localized traffic pattern,comparing with Mesh,the average delay of tetrahedral fission topology and the average hops are significantly improved.This paper also proposes hypercube fission topology in Three-Dimensional Network-on-Chip,which effectively reduces the dimension of hypercube and at the same time inherits the advantages of hypercube.and simulation for the hypercube fission topology is conducted.The simulation results show,under uniform traffic pattern,the throughput of hypercube fission is 7.4%higher than hypercube,52.6%higher than that of 3D Mesh,and the average hops is 12.8%less than that of 3D Mesh when the network reaches saturation,the average latency of hypercube fission topology is 40.6%lower than that of hypercube and 58.7%lower than that of 3D Mesh when the injection rate is 0.012;Under localized traffic pattern,the average latency of hypercube fission topology is 34.8%lower than that of hypercube and 45.2%lower than that of 3D Mesh when the injection rate is 0.015,the average hops of hypercube fission topology 7.2%less than that of 3D Mesh when the injection rate is 0.015.
