Since the beginning of the new century,the deepening education reform requires that education should face all students and pay attention to their all-round development.Middle school students are in an important period of value formation.Therefore,history teaching should not only teach history knowledge,but also help students form correct values.The history textbook is the main material of history teaching,which embodies the mainstream values.The gender concept displayed in it plays an important role in the formation of students' gender consciousness.Based on the samples of 18 history textbooks,this paper analyzes the compilation of the male and female characters in the textbooks,and concludes the progress and problems of the history textbooks.This paper makes a preliminary statistics on the frequency and images of male and female characters in textbooks,and analyzes the identity,activity of the characters.By analyzing the content of describing the characters of different genders in the textbooks,the author finds out the ways of presenting and narrating the female characters in the textbooks.Then through the comparison of three versions of textbooks,we can find the progress and deficiency.At last,I put forward my own views on the teaching of female characters,hoping to arise the attention and research on this issue..At present,the existing research on the gender issues of history textbooks focuses on the high school level,few on the junior school textbooks,and even less on the gender issues of the Unified edition textbooks.Therefore,the research object of this paper has certain research value.
