With the development of the times and science and technology,people have higher requirements for education,and the country has paid more and more attention to promoting the comprehensive development of elementary school students’ moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic education and cultivating their core literacy.At the National Education Conference in 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to promote the spirit of labor among students,educate and guide students to respect labor,respect labor,and understand the most glorious,most noble,greatest,and most beautiful truths about labor.Able to work hard,honestly and creatively.This shows that at this stage of labor education,it is more important for students to establish correct labor values,and then to let labor values guide primary students to have correct labor behaviors.This study first investigated the status quo of primary school students’ labor values,based on reading and collating relevant literature,compiled a questionnaire on the status quo of primary school students’ labor values,and then selected W primary school in Tianjin Heping District,T primary school in Hexi District,and S in Nankai District.Elementary school students in 9 classes in grades 3-5 of three primary schools were used as survey objects,and the results of the questionnaire were sorted out and analyzed.In addition,individual interviews were conducted with students and class teachers who participated in the survey in W Primary School,hoping to learn more about the views of students and teachers on the values of pupils’ labor.Based on the collation and analysis of the questionnaires and interview results,this study puts forward some reasonable suggestions for cultivating primary school students ’labor values,hoping to provide a direction for teachers to promote the development of primary school students’ labor values.Through the analysis and summary of the survey results,the author finds that the overall performance of primary school students’ labor values is better;as the grade increases,the performance of students’ labor values is getting better and better;gender,number of children in the family,and educational level of parents affect primary school students’ labor values The formation of primary school students ’labor values and class positions have nothing to do with academicperformance;there is a lack of comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of labor in primary school students’ labor values;some students oppose labor and learning,do not establish a concept of professional equality,career choice is money-oriented,Inconsistent knowledge and action of labor.Based on the above issues,this study proposes the following strategies to cultivate primary school students’ labor values: First,establish a long-term mechanism for labor value education and enhance the leading role of schools.Second,raise parents’ educational awareness of labor values and give play to the role of family foundation.Thirdly,it provides a platform for students to participate in labor in various aspects and promotes students’ self-education.
