Regional cognition is an important part of geography core accomplishment and one of cognitive methods and means in geography.In 2014,the ministry of education issued the opinions on comprehensively deepening the curriculum reform to implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with morality,which has attracted more and more attention in recent years.At present,there are some academic achievements in the study of geographical core literacy in the academic circle.According to the research of relevant literature at home and abroad,there are few specific studies on regional cognition,one of the components of core literacy.Therefore,it is of certain value and significance to further study and explore regional cognition.Combining classroom teaching junior high school students and junior high school students learning analysis,regional cognitive elements can be divided into regional awareness,contact area,division and regional development,and through the understanding of the interview of first-line teachers area on cognition in class,write the regional awareness level test in junior high school students,to teach the seven class' s and grade's students as the subjects,the level test.Results show that at this stage the overall level of the middle area of cognitive ability and great progress space,and from regional cognition strategy,establish regional contact strategy,regional development strategy and set up correct concept of people in the four aspects of cognitive ability,improve the area at the same time the author write the core accomplishment of region know the ground of teaching design,planned the geographical practice,reference for teachers,achieve the goal of the improvement area junior high school students cognitive level.This paper enriches the study of regional cognition and provides theoretical basis and Suggestions for the compilation of local curriculum and the teaching of regional geography.At the same time,it can promote the mastery of students' geographical ability and methods,and has certain practical significance for the comprehensive development of students.This study is still in the exploratory stage,and the test times and test objects are not comprehensive enough,needing to be further explored.
